I hope you had a pleasant and restful March break! “Spring” is finally here, bringing all the joy and happiness of the new season.
In March, the students have been very busy working on a special project: “Mon Superhéros/ Ma Superhéroïne”. They all showed a great interest creating and illustrating a Superhero and writing a short story using describing words (adjectives). This week, the students will be presenting their project to the class. It is great to see the enthusiasm, creativity, and interest they generate while doing this project.
We are now counting and reviewing numbers past 100. The students are learning how to recognize and write numbers both numerically and in written form.
We continue to develop the students ability in asking questions on different subjects using “question words” both orally and in a variety of written work. In writing, the students will continue to improve their skill and will write a short paragraph about “Spring” using appropriate language structures: Au début, Après, Ensuite, Finalement and familiar vocabulary. We will also learn to write the negative form in sentences.

6. Où est le livre?
7. Est-ce que tu es en troisième année?
8. Comment ça va aujourd’hui?
9. Quand vas-tu visiter ta grand-maman?
10. Qu’est-ce que tu manges pour le souper?

In reading, I encourage your child to continue to read every night in their reader, a French library book or different texts or material in both duo-tangs (Français or Études Sociales).
The new stories to read in their French reader are:
-“Un bruit”
-“C’est extraordinaire!”
-“Qui a faim?”
Thank you for your continued support.
