March Newsletter
Grade 1
St. Luke School
Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe that the March break is almost here! Time has gone by so quickly! The children are now learning about farm, zoo or pet animals through songs, poems, stories, information books and different oral and written activities. It is great to see the enthusiasm and interest they generate while talking, sharing information and demonstrating how involved they are in all activities!
After the March break, we will reflect, talk and share about the very important time of the year “Easter”. We will continue our unit about Animals and work on a special project: “My favorite animal”.
The students are learning that the letter “g” has two different sounds:
g -doux (j) and g-dur (gu) and they are able to recognize and read words containing that particular sound.
I am continuing to encourage the children to read at home on a regular basis and to share with you everything they learn during the French class.
I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a pleasant and restful March break!
