April-May Newsletter
Grade 1
St-Luke School
Dear Parents,
Our next themes in April and May are Spring (le printemps) and Transportation (les transports). We are continuing to learn new sounds, vocabulary, songs, and poems related to each theme. The children are encouraged to always participate in class in order to improve their skills and to gain confidence. They are learning French by repeating vocabulary and sentences, spelling words, playing a variety of games, singing songs, and practicing the language on a daily basis.
Thank you for reading with your child on a regular basis. The children are improving their reading skills in French as they can recognize and read familiar and new words, and simple sentences with growing confidence. They are encouraged to change their French library book in class when needed.
