Dear Parents,
The month of January has gone by quickly, as we have been quite
busy in French and already it is February and Valentine time. We will
take some time to discuss "Friendship" and ways to show our family
and friends that we care and love them. We will learn a song and a poem
and we will make a card for a "secret"friend.

In Social Studies, we are continuing to explore the theme "Community Helpers" , discussing about how these people are helping us in our neighborhoods. Also we will recognize and identify buildings related to people's work .
We are also learning how to count to 100. I encourage the children to practice counting at home using the number chart in the French duo-tang.
The children enjoy bringing home their French books. They are welcomed to take all the time they need to read their book or change it during class every day.
Thank you very much for your continued cooperation. It is so important to support the children in their learning of the French language and to encourage them to share what they are learning in the French class with you.
